Meet Shorty!!

Shorty is a well behaved little guy who is learning to be around people. Having a history of being abused he thinks everyone is going to hurt him. Foster Mom recently had surgery and has several new people who are coming into the home to help her and he has gone from growling at them to greeting them. He still is a little apprehensive but when he knows they are okay he begs for thier attention. He sleeps with Foster Mom every night and is always the one who gets a spot right next to her. He doesn't give kisses, yet but will get up close to Mom's face. He eats popsicles with Mom and has learned to share his bowl with other fur friends. He is completely housebroken and will sleep in a kennel. He would much rather be in bed with Mom. He won't let Foster Mom put a harness or collar on him because he has a history of being drug by a car. However he walks beside Mom when she has him out of the fenced-in yard. He will alert you to squirrels, strangers or anything else he sees as a threat but does not just bark to be barking. He is always on Mom's lap or close to her. He's a wonderful well mannered little guy. He is said to be 6 or 7 weighing around 17 lbs. He has a severe under bite but he doesn't have any problems eating or drinking. He hasn't been around a lot of children but did really well with Mom's 2 year old nephew. She thinks he would prefer an older person because he is used to her. He likes to sun himself on the porch and will bark at cars that are really loud and motorcycles. He loves to go "bye bye" and riding in the car. You can't go wrong adopting this little one.
