Meet Scrat,
Looking for an Angel.  As the days get colder and we move into the Holiday season there will be many requests for angels to help in different ways.  DASH has a wish list as well and Scrat is at the top.  Scrat is a sweet dog who has not had an easy life. He has some lingering problems, maybe because he spent his prior life being tied up outside, maybe abused but he is only 4 or 5 years old  and has some arthritis with his back legs and he moves slow in the mornings, as do I!  He is on medication and doing well but he needs to find a quiet place where he can be allowed to rest and be loved. He is housetrained very well.  He needs a quiet setting, not crowds of people, an area with limited stairs and someone to show him the love he deserves.  He may do well with another older dog that has similar interest, but being the only dog is just fine as well.  Scrat does not need much, your kindness, a warm place to lay, maybe a new name and something for his belly – in return you will have the love and appreciation of a dog which is beyond words.  Scrat as found his way to DASH and then hopefully to one of your loving homes.   Please send in an application and discuss the benefits of a Hospice dog.
