Buddy was rescued from a full, local shelter. He's such a nice boy, he's a young shepherd mix. He's great with other dogs and seems fine with cats. Adopters MUST have a fenced yard; he will skillfully slip a collar/leash & even a harness. Buddy is in the DASH Prison Program and has mastered basic commands quickly, but gets nervous in a crowd (even small crowds) & cannot focus. They're working on off leash recall; they are also starting clicker training, which may be more effective in small crowds. Buddy gets very nervous in crowds & would be best as a stay at home, family dog (with a fence). Buddy's handler says he doesn't take immediately to strangers, but after meeting a few times (with treats) he warms up. He seems to prefer woman.
