Jasmine came from an Amish Puppy Mill.  She has came a long way in the 2 weeks that she has been in rescue and still has a long way to go.  Potential adopters need to know that Jasmine has had a really rough life so far- she has been used for breeding over and over again, kept in a very small cage, never experienced love from a family or a warm bed to sleep in, she has never been groomed or walked in grass much less on a leash.  Jasmine is going to require a family with patience and a huge heart.  She is a very sweet dog, is good with other dogs (just ignores them), loves older children ( we have 11 year old twin girls), she has learned to go up and down 4 steps to go outside, she does not care for a leash, gets a little car sick, will potty outside and on pee pads but does have an occassional accident.  Jasmine is crate trained (loves her crate as that is where she feels safest).  Jasmine came into rescue with very bad ear infections for which she is currently on meds for.  The vet believes that the infections are chronic and Jasmine may need a surgery (ear canal ablation) in the future.  This is something the potential adopters need to be aware of.  For the situation that Jasmine came from, she is amazing.   She is learning to love and to trust humans which is very rewarding as a foster family.  We love it when we talk to her and wags her little nub.
