Chex a Jack Russell terrier mix, approx 1 yr old, 20lbs, neutered, and UTD on all vetting. Chex aka Cowboy, is good with cats and dogs. He will need a home with a securely fenced yard, and another young dog to play with. Chex is a shy, skittish, young boy who needs a patient owner that will allow him to decompress at his own speed. He loves toys and chewies. Being a terrier, he likes to dig, so Chex should be supervised outside. And all exterior doors should be monitored because Chex likes to dash out doors to go on his own unapproved adventures.
He's mostly white with brown undertones and some light brown spots on one ear and legs. We are making progress with housebreaking. Chex uses the dog door and pee pads. Socially, he is very much a puppy that needs guidance and positive reinforcement to learn and grow to his full potential. He has been started with walking on the leash with a harness. A quiet home with older children or adults would be best as Chex startles easily.
