Black Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat) : : Female : : Young : : Large
Meet Emmy, Unfortunately, due to prior owner’s lifestyle change, they are not able to give Emmy the time and attention she needs as would benefit most from an active lifestyle. A home with a yard would be highly recommended, no apartment living for her. She perfers to be the only dog in the home as that is how she has grown up. She has been around children of all ages (infant to 13 yrs. old) and been fine but does like to play rough so again older children are best. Emmy can be quirky when she first meets people. She will bark at everyone when she first meets them, but after a short time she will be licking their face! The best way to meet Emmy is to ignore her bark at first and let her come to you when she is ready. She has never shown aggression to any animals or people. She does the same when meeting dogs, it can take her time to get used to them as well. She has a ton of energy and would do well with an active lifestyle. She goes in a crate when no one is home and absolutely loves it. She has never had an accident in the house. She has been left for short periods of time out of the crate and does well, just not for too long.
