Meet Moonstone

Moonstone is a basset hound mix. 

He enjoys long naps throughout the day and sleeps throughout the night - sometimes he’ll wake me up early morning with a little dinosaur yawn letting me know he needs to go outside and potty but then it’s right back to bed.

He does pretty good on the leash with the occasional biting at the leash. If he wants to stay outside longer, he’ll just lay down in the grass (without warning) letting you know that he’s enjoying the sunshine and wants to explore for a little longer before heading back inside.

He loves his chihuahua foster sister, however, it’s not always a mutual love. Foster's chihuahua enjoys it when he’s asleep so they can cuddle but not so much when he’s awake and playing but she’s older. I think he would do great with a younger dog or maybe one that is more patient.

He is mostly potty trained. He will have accidents occasionally but he tries to locate and use a pee pad.

Foster Mom thinks after he's out of the teething stage, he will be great with little ones.

Once Moonstone gets attached to his person, he will not leave their side. He likes to be held and cuddled all day. He will (what foster Mom call) make dinosaur noises until he is picked up and coddled.
