Hiya - my name is Luna. Although I’m only a few months old, I make up for it with my larger-than-life personality :) Let me tell you a little bit about myself:
I’m a Connecticut girl looking to find love in the Midwest. The masses think I’m a hound mix of some sort. All I know is that I hope I get big and strong, and grow into these large ears and paws.
At a high-level, I’m good with kids, crate-trained, good in the car, great for the beginner dog owner, and could do well in an apartment.
I love to sleep so much that I aim for 8 hours a night. I’m still young so I need to wake my foster mom up to go potty in the middle of the night sometimes. She says I’m getting much better - I haven’t woken her up in the middle of the night for the last week! I’m determined not to have any accidents in my crate.
After our morning potty break, I jump and twirl for puppy food. Although I’m very food-motivated, I prefer to graze at my kibble throughout the day. I get distracted easily. After eating, I play with the resident dog that’s here with me. I chew on her ears and her legs but she doesn’t seem to mind. We share toys really well. If I accidentally hurt her, I apologize and lick her face until she decides to forgive me. You should know something about me: I refuse to be unforgiven. I drink a lot of water and need to be taken out every hour so I don’t have accidents in the house. I’ve never pooped in the house but we’re still working on the whole “peeing” thing. I’m still learning how to ask to go outside.
My days are full of naps and bouts of zoomies. Sometimes I find bits of paper to chew or curl up in a potted plant. I’m still trying to figure out how to be a dog so I ask that you be patient and understanding.
My foster mom puts me in the crate for a few hours every day so I can acclimate to the “lifestyle”. I don’t understand it, nor do I care for it. I was meant to be free and feel the wind in my soft fluffy puppy fur. My foster mom also leaves with the other dog for about an hour every day so I can “get used to being alone”. Although I bark and whine in my crate at first, I calm down after 5-10 minutes. I can be left alone for two hours at a time.
I’m an excellent pal for a beginning dog owner. I have a lot of love and snuggles to give. Whatddya say? Love me forever?
