Gromit, (6 years old gentle giant)

Where do we even start with this wayward soul…This gentle giant has a history, as many of us do. However, his has sadly been filled with darkness and sorrow. Gromit was originally rescued with his brother Wallace from a hellish pit in someone’s backyard. He was a mere 40lbs and lifeless. After some much needed rehabilitation and TLC. DASH pulled him, and placed him in the prison dog training program. It was here, we truly began to understand Gromits needs. This poor boy is terrified and while obedience and training was needed, the prison was not an appropriate environment. Gromit then went to a foster who adopted him out to a family that showered Gromit with love but Gromit needed more than love, he needed someone to show him the world was safe.

This new home gave us even more insight into Gromits needs…children under 12 are not an option (bc tiny people move fast and are scary lol). Since, Gromit has been living with Brian McCoy Genius Dogs Owner and Trainer. Here, he has learned what bones and dogs toys are. He’s learned to walk at a heel, and hold his head up higher. He wags his tail, makes squeaky noses when yawning, and drolls more than anything you’ve seen. He is very genial with both cars and dogs.  Gromit still has a long way to go but his first need is a forever home.

-NO children under 12
