Hiya - my name is Mia and I’m what they call a “soul dog”. I’m the best dog my foster mom has ever fostered.
My life started about five months ago. I lived with 8 other dogs before my human mom disappeared from my life. I was transported to Columbus with 3 of my brothers. I was skittish when I met my foster mom. I was scared of people taller than me and leashes. Within a few days, I bloomed into a happy-go-lucky puppy. When someone opens their arms, I crawl into them and flip over so they can rub my belly. I love people and other dogs more than life itself. I’m playful, inquisitive, intelligent, and affectionate. I’m crate-trained, potty-trained, and can be left alone for 3-5 hours at a time. When I smile, I melt hearts. I sleep all night and I don’t mind sleeping in my crate. I wake up, go outside immediately, and quickly go potty. After I’m done eating and drinking water, I play with the resident dog here. We play like puppies do: I steal her toys, I chase her around, and I battle for my foster mom’s attention. When it’s time for a break, I enjoy retreating to my crate or bed. I’ll occasionally wake up and sit with my foster mom on the couch but I prefer to relax by myself. I only whine when I need to go outside. I only bark when I see someone outside - I want them to recognize that I’m close by so they can pet me. Sometimes I growl when I’m playing and my dog friend tries to steal my toy from me - it seems to be a play growl and I respond well to correction. I’m a soul dog. That means I’m one of those dogs that will bond with you forever. I’ll be the best friend, daughter, sister, and puppy anyone could ask for. So what do you say? Let’s love each other forever.
