My name is Mickey (Mick) and I am an 8-year-old terrier mix. I am a very sweet-natured love bug who loves to spend time with my people. I get along well with everyone – people, other dogs, cats. I am fully house-broken and leash trained. I will go in a crate for treats but I really don’t like to and will bark a lot if you put me in one to voice my protest. My foster family and my last adoptive family found no need to ever crate me though because I am a really good boy. I don’t potty in the house as long as you let me out before bed and first thing in the morning and periodically throughout the day. My foster family does not crate me when they leave and I do not potty in their house. I am very much a gentleman and find it disrespectful and quite beneath me really to potty on my people’s things.  I like to sleep with them in bed at night but I don’t take up much room and I don’t wiggle around or lick faces or things like that. I don’t mind if they put me in cute sweaters. I actually like it when it gets cold out and we go for walks. Plus, I think I look pretty dapper. I like to play with toys and chew on bones but I don’t chew on things inappropriately. I really, REALLY like treats. I am very smart so I will quickly learn where you keep the treats. I like to go to the treat jar and use my cute ways to convince you to give some to me. My foster family tells me I am incorrigible. I am not sure what that means but I don’t think it’s bad because they say it in that voice that says they love and adore me. I do have one bad habit… When I am not with my people, I become woeful… so I sing my songs of woefulness until they come home. My people say it sounds like a lot of barking and even some howling but they are actually deep spiritual songs of woe. But because my “singing” aka barking is a bit loud I would probably not be a good apartment dog and would really do best in a home where my people are home more. I am fantastic companion as I love to follow you around, sit on your lap and generally snuggle. I am playful enough for my age but not super energetic. I hope that you will consider bringing me into your home so I can find my furever family!
