Meet Olive,

Olive arrived in an emergency call situation.   Mom needed an emergency c-section, her and her puppy’s life were in  jeopardy and owner backed out of helping.  A call to DASH and a few hours later mom and puppy were safe with us.  Olive’s life did not come cheap but that is what we do – save lives.  Olive is a 4 ½ year old full Maltese and we are asking more than normal to help defray the 1000’s spent.  She is a sweet girl who only wants to have some attention for her as she has raised several puppies.  She was a great mom to Martini, but she is more than ready to be the light in someone’s life.  She loves belly rubs and being by your side.  Oh boy can the girl get a good snore going when she is in a deep sleep!  She is potty trained and will use pee pads in a pinch.  She loves all people and will go to anyone willing to give out some love.  She has done well with children 8 and up, no exposure to younger here at dash.   She can exist with other pets; she really does not have any interest in them but will follow their lead. no exposure to cats, but she does not not chase anyone so if they are good, she will not care. She does have a protective nature (not aggressive) since she is a mother, she will give a growl when other dogs were near her baby as expected and she will also give a growl when she is protecting her nice spot on your lap or her favorite toy.  She will want to sleep in your bed and on your couch  with you, she will  let you know as her little legs cannot jump that high, she will need same services for jumping down. She loves to carry small fuzzy toys in her mouth, her favorite is Marshie, a worn-out marshmallow toy, it will go with her!  Someone out there really needs this girl as much as she needs you.
