Baby is exactly what you would think of when someone says the name. She is sweet, tender, affectionate, and so cute. This girl just wants to be on your lap giving and receiving kisses. Baby comes from a hoarding situation where she was used as a breeder dog and lived her whole life in a bird cage. This poor girl was never outside! While in foster care she gave birth to one puppy, Jake. She has been such a good mom while Jake has needed her, but it's Baby turn to be spoiled and be the center of attention. Nobody puts Baby in the corner! While Baby is very sweet, she is also very timid. She will need someone who will give her time to warm up to them and trust them. She has been with her foster for 3 months and has made MANY strides. She will sometimes still pee in her cage if left too long, but only poops outside. She will now leave her cage and walk outside to potty when you open the door vs. physically removing her and carrying her. She comes to her name when outside. She will stay right by your side. Her recall is WONDERFUL! Baby's safe space is her cage and where she will go to be most comfortable, but can you blame her if she lived her whole life in one? What we are saying is this girl has a tough start to life, but in the short time she's been with us, she has already turned a new leaf! She loves to be loved and give love, but we know by her mannerisms she was likely abused previously. While baby is great with men, women and children we believe she would be best in a quiet home with family who will have patience with her and she continues to learn to trust people again. We do not know how she is with cats, but with a proper introduction we believe she would be fine. Baby is also wonderful and very playful with dogs her size, but is also fine with both larger and smaller dogs as long as they are not dominate dogs.
