Hello there, I am Lucinda. Although I am a golden girl, please know that I have plenty of life left to live. I just need to find my person who will provide a lap I can snuggle. I am currently learning how to be on my best behavior in my training program. There is not much they have had to teach me, except that not all humans are scary. I am becoming more playful as I continue to settle in and feel safe. I like other dogs but making friends is not my top priority. I really like to nap and be with my person. Therefore, I could live with or without other furry companions. I cannot remember the last time I have seen a cat or kid, so please be cautious when introducing me to any. I walk well on a leash, I potty outside, and I won’t bother you while I am in my crate. Although, I would still much rather crash and hog your bed. That’s my job, I just want to do it right. My buddy here at the training program stated that "Lucinda is Intelligent, inquisitive and affectionate. She is alert and protective of her environment and is loyal to a fault. She loves to sleep completely under a blanket and snuggle at night". I told him to say all that! In my defense, when he says I'm protective, he means that I also think it's part of my job to yell and let you know if someone is at the door in case of, you know, stranger danger! Please don’t let my age confuse you, I still have a little sass and a lot of class. So please give me time to warm up to you. I want to trust you as much as you want to trust me. Once we bond, we will be best friends, TV partners , walking companions, and snuggle buddies. I am ready to find my sanctuary and safe, forever home. I don’t want to live the rest of my days never being claimed as someone’s baby. Come get me today!
