Meet Shasta! Are you looking for a friend who is so excited to see you and give you kisses that they can't contain and jump-even if it is only a foot off the ground?? If this sounds good-Shasta may be perfect for you! She has such a big heart and sweet personality in a really tiny and adorable package! This happy girl is now in our DASH Prison Training Program where she will be learning her puppy manners & basic commands. They are working on the 1st Steps being name recognition & eye contact for this exuberant baby! Shasta seems to love people & attention, gets along with everyone of all ages - she lived with kids in her former foster & was perfect! She is mildly curious about cats but we aren't sure if she wants their food or just to play. She likes to be with other dogs & was really friendly and calm when hanging out with two bigger dogs. S he seems really eager to please and is very intelligent. Shasta is working on potty training, does not mind being in her crate & "most times" walks on the leash, unless she is distracted by a playtime opportunity. She will let you know when she's done walking by just sitting,,,, wherever she is! She loves to be loved on and cuddled, likes to sleep with her people, but does great in a crate overnight or when gone if needed. Shasta is short haired, but feels velvet-y soft. She loves belly rubs, chewy toys-rubber balls and rope toys are a favorite. Her trainer's favorite things about her - "Upbeat, friendly, very social, likes to play" - She is just a happy girl! She can be hardheaded sometimes but listens well & learns what is asked of her. If you need a little happy Shasta in your day, please apply to meet her, she won't be here long!
