Meet Cassie! Cassie and her brother Parker had a rough start to life before coming to DASH, so she's a little shy until she gets to know you and trusts you. She is sweet as can be! She is still working on being fully housebroken but was doing great and using the pee pads at her foster home. Cassie is our DASH Prison Training Program where she will be learning Socialization skills, Basic commands & building confidence. She might do best with women, since men are a little scary to her still, but she is learning to love her trainer!  UPDATE: Working on basic commands like sit, stay, down etc. Cassie will now walk on a leash (although she still wants to run away if she gets startled, they are working on it), she appears to be mostly housebroken (no accidents in the prison setting), doesn't bark in her crate & likes baths. Cassie doesn't play with other dogs or with toys so she will need to learn how to just be a dog! She is loveable & affectionate when alone with her trainer but he reports that she "freaks out" when in crowds of people, so she will continue working on confidence building to overcome this. She's come a long way & we're excited to see how little Cassie blossoms with training & lots of attention!
