Meet Toto the yorkie mix! This little man is full of energy and love! He was surrendered to DASH, along with his companion Chief, after his owner was in a very bad car accident and was unable to continue to care for him like he deserves. He has done well with all of his foster's dog. He loves loves loves squeaky toys, especially balls or anything that resembles a ball! He will play fetch for hours with one. Toto is a little shy and will bark when meeting new people and animals but will warm up once he gets to know you. He is working on using doggie stairs and a doggy door. He does go up and down regular stairs with ease, it's just actual doggie stairs onto a bed or couch that he has never used before. He is also working on leash manners. He tends to want to zigzag a lot, so we are working on correcting that. He would like to have a doggie brother or sister to play with, but he would probably do well as an only pet too. He has not been around cats or kids, and due to his size would recommend no smaller children. He is sure to be your shadow and does love to be around his human .
