Chella means "one who is a pet to all." As this bitty fella comes out of his shell, we see he gets along with everyone. He may seem unsure of affection at first, but he settles in quickly and quite nicely. Chella went from being timid and scared to being inquisitive and receptive. He went from cowering at someone's hand to following his foster mom around the yard begging to be noticed. He likes to sit at your feet and claim you. He will sit right on your shoe..... and your shoe is likely bigger. Chella is a precious, tiny gem who deserves to be the king of his own tiny castle. He is loving, sweet, goofy, playful, and a bit dramatic at times (our favorite). Chella loves other dogs and is fine with cats. He walks fine on a leash with encouragement and is crate-trained. He goes straight to the potty grass pad when it is time and he figured this out all on his own. He has the potential needed to make someone a wonderful household pet. He would be good in both a family or single household. We would prefer he go somewhere with other animal companions.
Chella and his brother came in as a frightened little pair, not familiar with human affection. It has taken them hardly any time to open up and it has been such a blessing to watch them embrace being loved and nurtured. They have both become little shadows to their foster mom and housemates, playful, and lovable. They are young enough that they will be able to leave their past behind them and move on to become perfect little family pets.
Chella and Chester will be fine being adopted separately. However, if you are looking to double your fun, we would be happy to find them a home together.
